SPROUT is a campaign focused on sustainable agriculture and the role of biotechnology in farming. At the heart of its identity is a custom typeface, ‘Sprout,’ which visually evolves from a seed to a plant. The challenge was to make complex topics like sustainable agriculture and biotechnology accessible and engaging for an audience unfamiliar with these fields. By using the ‘Sprout’ typeface, we transformed these complex issues into a simple, universally relatable metaphor—growth.

The website brings the theme of growth to life, with a garden that blooms as users scroll. It also explains the SPROUT mission and highlights the role of biotechnology in sustainable farming practices.

The posters use stages of the Sprout typeface as patterns and textures to bring the data visualizations to life. They highlight statistics on yield improvements, reduced herbicide use, enhanced crop resilience, and the environmental benefits of GMO seeds (within and outside the US).

The SPROUT Seed Kit is an interactive tool designed to engage people directly with the principles of sustainable agriculture. The kit includes a variety of easy-to-grow seeds and simple instructions for planting and caring for them.
